Restoration of a 1969 Puck
While restoring a classic trailer is often a lonely labor of love, presenting your results to the world via the web is certain to put one in touch with those who share the obsession. Many who have seen my website have written warm regards for having shared the results. A couple of dozen other Puck owners have also met me online, frequently asking an obscure question or sharing their experience.
What I did not expect was to be contacted by another Puck owner from the San Francisco area willing to go through the ordeal of a complete restoration. David Yost is owner of a 1969 Puck serial number 12458, that was in roughly the same rough condition as my '71 trailer... dented body, rusty screws, rotten flooring and cracked window rubber. Although he hired me just to replace the floor, he soon enough realized his Puck deserved the full treatment. Six months and many dollars later we were finished, with a result that is certain to turn heads on the highways.
Presented here is the photo documentation of this project. I apologize for not adding captions, but it's time to move on to my next project.
